Stakeboard is a platform for staking your KILT Coins and gaining rewards.
Consensus or agreement on the information on the KILT blockchain is achieved by collators. They produce “blocks” of data and pass them to Polkadot validators, who then finalize the blocks and integrate them to the Polkadot Relay Chain.
You can support a collator as a “delegator” by backing them with your KILT Coins and being rewarded for every block they produce. To participate in staking on Stakeboard you need a Sporran wallet with at least 21 KILT Coins.
KILT Protocol is designed so that delegators received staking rewards of 8% for the first year of KILT (measured in block time, not days). Delegators now receive 6% in the second year of KILT and will receive 5.1% in the third year. Delegator rewards are built into KILT’s very low inflation rate, to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the ecosystem.
